Etalex manufactures self-adhesive labels in Cairo, as it has made printed labels since 1952. Our certified scope covers their design, pre-press, manufacture, printing, conversion, finishing and supply, using flexographic, offset, screen and digital printing processes. What they are
What is a self-adhesive label?
A self-adhesive label, also called a pressure-sensitive label, is a printed face material backed by an adhesive and carried on a release liner. The label is peeled from the liner and applied to the pack by hand or by an automatic applicator, and it sticks without heat or water.
Because the face material, the adhesive and the liner are chosen separately, the same label can be specified for very different packs: a glass vial, a squeezable tube, an oily lubricant bottle or a chilled food container.

Matched to the pack, not the other way round
Our team specifies the label for the container, its contents and the way the pack is filled, stored and handled. Tell us these and we recommend the construction.
- Container and surface: glass, plastic or textured plastic, flat or curved, large or small diameter.
- Contents and conditions: moisture, oil, detergents and other aggressive contents, cold or humid storage, warm filling.
- Handling: wet hands, abrasion in use, and how long the label must stay readable.
- Finish: the look you need, from durable top coats to premium finishing such as hot stamping and embossing.

Self-adhesive labels can be printed by the process that best fits the artwork, material and quantity.
Our Cairo factory runs letterpress in flat and rotary, rotary offset, flexography, silk screen and digital printing, with hot stamping for finishing. Premium finishing also includes embossed labels and multilayer constructions.

Certified label production
Our management systems are certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, GMP and HACCP. All five certificates are issued to Etalex Factory by ABS Global and are valid until 16 May 2027. The certified scope covers the design, pre-press, manufacture, printing, conversion, finishing and supply of self-adhesive labels and specialty label solutions using flexographic, offset, screen and digital printing processes.

Send your artwork or a reference label if you have one. If you are still deciding, describe the product and where the label will be used.

Our team reviews your request, asks any open questions and confirms the printing method, material and finish with you.
Production and supply.
Your labels are printed, converted, finished and supplied from our factory in Abbasya, Cairo.

Self-adhesive label questions
What is a self-adhesive label made of?
A self-adhesive label has three parts: a printed face material, an adhesive layer and a release liner that carries the label until it is applied. Each part is chosen for the pack. Tell us your container, contents and storage conditions, and our team will recommend a construction for your job.
How do you choose the face material and adhesive?
We start from the container and its contents, not from a stock list. The surface, the product inside, the filling, storage and handling conditions all affect which face material, adhesive and top coat will last. Send these details with your request and our team will specify the label.
