Detergent and Chemical Product Labels in Egypt

Labels built to survive the pack: surfactants, splashes and a long life under the sink. Printed in Cairo since 1952.

Detergent and cleaning product labels made in Cairo

Etalex prints self-adhesive labels for detergents and household cleaning products in Cairo, where the company has manufactured labels since 1952. These packs are a hard home for a label: the surface is often textured plastic, the contents are aggressive and the pack is handled wet. We choose the face material and adhesive for the container and contents.

We print these labels on self-adhesive narrow and mid-web stock. The container and what goes in it decide the construction, not the other way round. See all our label printing services in Egypt, or read more about our self-adhesive labels.

Will the label resist moisture and chemicals?

A detergent label meets the same few conditions on almost every pack. Each one is a reason to specify the face material and adhesive for the job rather than use a general-purpose label.

ConditionWhy it matters for the labelWhat we do
Textured plastic surfaceThe adhesive has less flat surface to gripChoose the adhesive for the container
Aggressive contents (surfactants)Drips and splashes reach the label faceChoose the face material for the contents
Wet handlingThe pack is picked up with wet handsChoose the face material and adhesive together
Long life under the sinkThe label must stay on and readable until the pack is emptySpecify the construction for the container and contents

Tell us the container material, the product and where the pack is used and stored, and our team will propose a face material and adhesive.

Materials for detergent and chemical labels

Detergent and cleaning labels are printed on self-adhesive narrow and mid-web stock. For each job we choose the face material and the adhesive together, for the container and for the contents. Our guide to self-adhesive label materials explains how facestock and adhesive work together.

Printing processes

Everything is printed under one roof: letterpress (flat and rotary), rotary offset, flexography, silk screen and digital printing, with hot stamping, embossed labels and multilayer constructions for finishing. Compare them on our label printing technologies page.

Our certificates, issued by ABS Global and valid until 16 May 2027, cover the “design, pre-press, manufacture, printing, conversion, finishing, and supply of self-adhesive labels and specialty label solutions using flexographic, offset, screen, and digital printing processes.” The factory holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, GMP and HACCP certificates; open each one on our Etalex certificates page.

How do I fit hazard text on a small pack?

Cleaning and chemical products often carry more safety text than a small label face can hold. Multilayer constructions combine more than one layer of label stock, so a pack can carry more text than a single face allows. Tell us how much text the label must hold and we will advise on the construction.

Hazard and safety wording is part of your artwork, and your regulatory team sets its content. Send it with your specification so we can plan the label size and layout around it.

Detergent and chemical labels: frequently asked questions

Will the label resist chemicals and moisture?

Detergent packs are hard on a label: the contents are aggressive, the surface is often textured plastic and the pack is handled wet. We choose the face material and adhesive for your container and its contents rather than use one standard label. Send the container and product details and our team will propose a construction.

Which label stock do you use for detergents?

We print detergent and cleaning labels on self-adhesive narrow and mid-web stock. The face material and adhesive are chosen together for each job, based on the container, the product inside it and how the pack is handled. Tell us these three things and we will recommend the stock before printing.

Can a small pack carry all its hazard text?

Multilayer constructions combine more than one layer of label stock, so a pack can carry more text than a single face allows. The hazard and safety wording itself comes from your artwork and your regulatory team. Send the full text with your specification and we will advise on the label construction.

What do you need from me to quote detergent labels?

Send the label size, the quantity and number of versions, the container material and the product it holds. Add where the pack is used and stored, and the finish if you know it. You can do this through our quote form and attach artwork or a specification if you have one.
