Motor oil and lubricant labels made in Cairo

Etalex prints labels for motor oils, lubricants and greases in Cairo, where the company has manufactured labels since 1952. Lubricant packs are filled warm, stacked in hot stores and handled with oily hands, and the label has to keep its adhesion and stay readable through all of it. We specify the face stock, adhesive and top coat for each pack.

Each specification starts from the container, the fill temperature and the way the pack will actually be handled. See all our label printing services in Egypt, or read about our self-adhesive labels.

What a lubricant label has to survive

A lubricant label is tested from the moment the pack is filled to the day it is used in a workshop. Three conditions shape the specification.

StageWhat happens to the packWhat the label must do
FillingThe pack is filled warmKeep its adhesion on a warm container
StoragePacks are stacked in hot storesStay in place and readable through storage
UseThe pack is handled with oily handsStay readable under handling and oil

Because each of these depends on the container, we ask what your container is made of and its shape before we specify the label. Our guide to self-adhesive label materials explains why the container surface matters to the adhesive.

Which adhesive and face stock do you use?

There is no single construction for every oil pack. For each job we specify three parts of the label together:

Part of the labelWhat we specify it for
Face stockThe container and the way the pack is handled
AdhesiveThe container and the fill temperature
Top coatKeeping the print readable through handling

Send us your container and conditions and we will propose a construction before printing.

What to tell us when you specify a lubricant label:

  • The container material and shape, and the label position on it
  • The fill temperature, if the pack is filled warm
  • How and where the packs are stored before sale
  • How the pack is handled in use, for example in a workshop
  • The label size, quantity and number of versions

Printing processes and certificates

Everything is printed under one roof in Cairo: letterpress (flat and rotary), rotary offset, flexography, silk screen and digital printing, with hot stamping, embossed labels and multilayer constructions for finishing. Compare them on our label printing technologies page.

Our certified scope covers the “design, pre-press, manufacture, printing, conversion, finishing, and supply of self-adhesive labels and specialty label solutions using flexographic, offset, screen, and digital printing processes.” The factory holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, with GMP and HACCP certificates, all issued by ABS Global and valid until 16 May 2027. Open each one on our ISO 9001, GMP and HACCP certificates page.

Motor oil and lubricant labels: frequently asked questions

Will the label stick to an oily plastic container?

Lubricant packs are filled warm, stacked in hot stores and handled with oily hands, so adhesion is the first thing we plan for. We specify the face stock, adhesive and top coat for your container, the fill temperature and the way the pack is handled. Send the container details and our team will propose a construction.

Which adhesive do you use for oil packs?

There is no single adhesive for every oil pack. We choose the adhesive together with the face stock and the top coat, based on the container, the fill temperature and how the pack is stored and handled. Tell us these details, and our team will recommend a construction before printing begins.

Will the print stay readable in a workshop?

The label has to stay readable through hot storage and handling with oily hands. That is why we specify a top coat along with the face stock and adhesive, chosen for the way your pack is actually handled. Tell us where the product is used and stored, and we will recommend the construction.

What do you need from me to quote lubricant labels?

Send the label size, the quantity and number of versions, the container material and shape, and the fill temperature if you know it. Add how the packs are stored and handled. You can send everything through our quote form and attach artwork or a specification if you have one ready.
